Who we are

HPF stands for High Performance Friday – known as High Performance Freitag in German. We were founded on 31 July 2026 in Wacken and have been doing one thing ever since: metal as fast as the instrument (and the lungs) allow. That we mainly rely on flutes was never a joke – it’s our whole thing.

Our members live all over Germany and meet up between shows to rehearse, record and plan. Where other bands plan rehearsal rooms and tour busses, we plan train connections – and a Friday that never ends.

What to expect

Three flutes, one drum kit and the ultimate question: when does this become your Friday? Our live show combines blast beats with whistles, growls with trills and disciplined steamroller riffs with instrumental precision. No effects pedal is safe from us – least of all a minor scale.
